The HX series grip is a new for Ergon, after many years of producing some of the most comfortable and ergonomic grips available for the bike, Ergon has decided to continue this tradition with a line of gloves that provide amazing comfort for all styles of riding. The HX2 is an ideal glove for Cross Country riding and racing, full finger and specifically designed to work in perfect unison with all of the Ergon grips, they also work really well for other brands of grips.
The grips are very thin on the palm and constructed from a micro-fibre velour leather, because Ergon grips provide far more support than any other grips available there is no need to over compensate with bulky padding on the palm of the grip. Even with standard grips the thin palm material provides great tactility of the glove. For the high wear areas the palm micro-fibre material has been double to provide extra durability, especially good if you eat dirt.
The is generous amounts of mesh on the back of the hand which has a very snug fit and provides great ventilation especially in hot summery weather. The grips have been specially stitched and shaped in a way that when you close your hand on the grips there is very minimal bunching of the material especially on the underside of your knuckles. This Ergon specific design is very noticeable the first time your try the gloves, you can feel the grips without having the grip rolling and bunching up under your hand.
Although the HX2 has been designed around the GX and GS series grips, these also work very well with other grips, the snug fit and the anti-bunching should be a benefit to every bike rider.
