If you are looking for a new eMTB with the new Shimano EP8, the new Mondraker Dusk is here. The new EP8 motor gets an increase in torque to 85Nm, three customisable modes (eco, trail and boost) and the option of a range extender (360Wh) gives you so much more fun when looking for an eMTB. The EP8 smooth power delivery and quiet hum just takes the eMTB experience to the next level. Mondraker has perfectly integrated the battery and motor into the bike design keeping all the favourable Mondraker design cues.
Forward Geometry and eBikes were made for each other. The extra speed and weight of the ebike means you are going to need more stable geometry than a non-emtb. Forward Geometry has been around for a while now and it works brilliantly at improving high speed stability and cornering control.
150mm of rear travel, 160mm of front travel and slack 65.5º is an absolute weapon on the descents, yet the steep seat angle and dirt smashing torque of the new EP8 means you can clear some of the slipperiest technical climbs your can find. Mondraker's have always been known for stability and the the Dusk is surefooted on the descents yet still managing to stay nimble on the tight climbs - low offset fork and Forward Geometry really help out here.
The Zero Suspension gets an increase in anti-squat to balance the extra torque that will see the rear wheel, but still offering excelling small bump sensitive with plenty of mid-stroke support for berm smashing. Both models feature high end Fox suspension front and rear.
