Some rim updates now make these popular wheels even lighter and tubeless ready. A slightly shallower rim depth of 25mm from 30mm and an internal diameter of 19.9mm and the overall width of 24mm makes it suitable for wider tyres like the 25c and 28mm and even CX clinchers. The extra width works with keeping a nice straight tire side edge for stability and solid road feel.
Like the the carbon wheels in the lineup, the Altamont feature the same spokes, SAPIM CX Ray and Boyd's Prime hubs which feature a wide flange to flange for optimal stiffness, easy to maintenance and a quick engaging rear freehub - you can quieten it down with some extra soft grease on the pawls. The brake track gets a welded seam, rather than pinned which improves braking and consistency overall and are anodised and with water transfer decals - so they are sure to look better for longer.
