Highly responsive wheelset for training and racing
One wheelset in the quiver to handle it all. Light enough to drop the bunch on the climb, stiff and responsive take the spring at the local crit and a the Exalith2 brake track that works brilliantly wet or dry. As a bonus, it has all the good looks of a full carbon clincher with the black Exalith2 sidewalls.
Rims
Made with Mavic's own Maxtal alu with the SUP join which keeps the brake track smooth. The black Exalith2 brake track looks great and performs even better. Dry braking modulation improves over standard machined walls, while little performance is lost in the wet. The shallow profile spins up quickly and holds speed while staying super stable in crosswinds.
Tyres
Mavic's own high performance tyres, a supple 127TPI casing with a directional front and rear trad pattern. A nylon breaker belt keeps punctures to a minimum.
Spokes
Zicral aluminium spokes are threaded directly into the lower rim bridge, this allows Mavic to keep the spoke holes smooth on the outer rim bed so you can leave the rim tape out and run tubeless if you prefer. This does mean if you break a spoke you will require the Mavic replacement. The spokes are bladed which aid in improved aerodynamics and also the overall stiffness of the wheel.
If you are after one wheelset to keep on the bike all day and race on the weekends, the Kysrium SLR are ideal. Light and durable and have that stealth black look. The KYSRIUM SLR do require the use of Mavic's own brake pads to work with the Exalith 2 rim surface.
