Talk to anyone about SRAM shifters, the first thing that comes to mind is the positive feel of each and every shift. The XX shifters are lightweight and have utilised a fully adjustable carbon fibre shift paddle for maximum weight reduction. Shifts on the XX are fast and positive with a very short throw, partly contributed to this is the Exact Actuation which moves the derailleur exactly the same amount as the cable being pulled, this also makes the shifters a snap to setup.
The hardware on the XX shifters are T25 Torx, it allows SRAM to utilise lightweight aluminium hardware reducing the chance of rounding out a hex bolt. Shift paddles are made from carbon fibre composite and the top of the shifters have carbon top and lower cover. The shifters can be used with MatchMaker XX for an uncluttered bar ideal if used with an X-Loc remote for either fork lockout or the Reverb.
The XX shifters are suitable for SRAM 2x10 components only.
