The first Chrome bags were made with Cordura, Truck Tarpaulin and a salvaged seatbelt and it was bombproof. These details have stayed with the brand and has become iconic. Now based in the hip and progressive San Francisco where clothing and bags are designed.
It is a commuting bag but also works perfectly as a weekend pack, subtle details like the blacked out Chrome mini-buckles make it stylish off the bike. If you ride moto this pack will also suit. Construction is overkill, but you know the pack is going to last....and last. The NIGHT series by Chrome is really neat, it's a large reflective print on the outside of the pack that will reflect light and remain visible up to 100 meters. Too many times we see commuters with a little flashing light mounted to the seat post which is way below the eye level of a motorist - we would say the pack brings far more attention to a motorist than the obligatory flashing LED.
The main compartment is a simple rolltop design that expands with the integrated Nylon ripstop. In the compact mode it remains completely waterproof and is easy to jam a lot of gear into it without fighting with zippers to get them closed, its sealed with heavy duty Velcro. The main compartment is completely lined with thick truck tarpaulin while the outside compartment has room for a 15" laptop with some accessory pouches and a sealed slot for your electronic devices, which makes it easy to access.
On the outside panel there is a cross strap that is expandable and can be cinched down to hold any extra bulky gear that you need to haul around. It would work well with a helmet, shoes, jacket and even a bunch of flowers.
