We've seen riders pushing the tyre widths on their standard 700c road bikes. The lightest and most puncture resistance inner tubes available. A new material completely different to butyl and latex - a special elastomer that ishighly elastic and can be recycled.  There is no sealant in the tube but once punctured the material will create a tight seal around the nail, rock, glass allowing you to get to wherever you need to be then you can patch it up.
