BPA Free, not just your water bottle
The 711 grip is ideal for trail riding and cross country racing where lots of time is spent on the bike. It offers a unique shape that offers comfort, security and grip while still using the convenience of a lock-on. Traditional lock-ons get harsh because the run a nylon reinforcement down the core which helps support the lock-on clamp - this actually takes away material from the grip and gives a harsher than normal feel
The 711 is sculptured in many ways to overcome the harshness that you normally in straight traditional lock-ons. The Ergobar, which is a flat and angular grip at the bottom edge offers an secure edge that your fingers naturally want to "hook" on to. The outer edge follows a smooth wave shape with the wider part towards the outside of the grip (right where your ulnar nerve sits) This shape allows more material on the edge for comfort and shock absorption and it gives you that positive end edge on your grip so you hands area always in the right spot. There is no lockring on the outer edge.
Besides all the comfort features the 711 comes in 3 sizes so you can fit the grip to your preference and hand size.
If you are comparing the width to your current grips, just measure the thickness of your current grip and compare to the SQlab widths below. SQlab measures the width at 30% from the inner edge of grip. If you have a straight non ergo grip, it should run close to the SQlab width number.
If you are are looking for the lightest grip possible while still getting all the ergonomics of a SQlab grip, check out the 711r
