Upgrade your ride.

While everyone is reaching to save a few watts on tires, clothes and frames the simple bicycle tube gets overlooked. A relatively cheap option to upgrade when you are looking to save a few watts. Tests have shown that a quality latex tube paired with a high thread count tire can reduce rolling resistance. Not only this it adds a whole new level of comfort and feel to your bike. The high elasticity index conforms better to the small road and resists punctures far better than a butyl tube.

Downsides

They do lose air a lot quicker than a standard butyl tube and you'll need to check your pressures before every ride.

We have the latex tube range from Vittoria and Michelin. They have proven reliability and quality and pair well with the Boyd valve extenders if you have a deep profile carbon wheelset.
