We love nothing more than companies that push the envelope and innovate! Scrub Components have developed possibly the ultimate rotor. It is light weight, stiff and has exceptional heat dissipation properties. The rotors are made entirely from a metal-matrix, so there is no worry for coatings to wear out or grind down, they are machined super flat with all the outer edges smoothed out and high tolerance bolt holes. The metal-matrix provides stiffness greater than a regular alloy rotor, but has greatly increased the efficiency to dissipate the heat - this all results in more control over your bike.
The rotors do require the use of an organic brake pad and it does take a little bit longer than your standard rotor to bed in, but once bedded in performance is amazing. We highly recommend the Scrub specific brake pads, they have been designed to work in harmony with the Scrub rotors. Combining the Scrub rotors with the Scrub specific pads you get similar power compared to a sintered+steel rotor combination, but there is big increase in modulation and consistency in the brake feel. Less brake and more speed and of course not to mention the drop in weight.
