    Still based on the ever comfortable 6Ox shape but with the new made in Germany Infinergy material which offers another level of comfort. 2.1 Active saddles feature a revised Active system that offers more lateral movement for improved spinal disc alignment.

    Infinergy is made in Germany and offers improved comfort and vibration damping, it offers minimal weight as there is no need for wrapping a a foam core like a traditional saddle.

    You'll notice there is no cutout - what about my gooch you say? The dropped mid and nose section almost completely eliminates perineum pressure while the rear section naturally supports your sit-bones and the skeletal structure not soft tissue. The 60X also has an extra stepped mid-section, more pronounced than than the 611 and 612 - This provides loads of comfort and more positioning options riding up steep tech terrain. When you are on the rivet the 60X is really comfortable

    Standard on the 60X is the already proven and comfy Active system. It acts like micro-suspension and it also allows very subtle pelvic rocking which helps reduce pressure on spinal discs and accounts for muscular imbalance or leg length discrepancies - In other words, it just works darn good.

    A new and refined shape developed in collaboration with the University Hospital of Frankfurt and Frankfurt University. A specially designed shape works in unison with the human skeletal system allowing less gooch pressure and higher power outputs. Rather than a cutout running full length of the saddle which creates pressure spots the SQlab supports your sitbones while allowing up to 65% pressure relief.

It will take into account your sit bone distance (the part where you contact the saddle) and also your style of riding which determines the degree of hip rotation.

    How does sizing work? Once you have your sit bones accurately measured you'll need to add 0, 1, 2,3 or 4cms to the sit bones measurement depending on your riding position. A more upright positions will add width. The more dynamic the riding position the more hip rotation and hence the narrower the contacting part of your sit bones and hence a narrower saddle will provide the correct fit. This works the same whether you are male or female

BETTER ERGONOMICS

~ THERE IS NO NEED FOR AGGRESSIVE CUTOUTS OR CURVY SHAPES ~

Working in unison with your body, the SQlab saddles have a raised rear section which is where your sit bones find home.  Supporting the skeletal system is much preferred over soft tissue  and the Ergowave design really works. It's unisex as well - we are different but not that different.  Due to the sit bone measurement and the step saddle concept, it is not necessary to differentiate between men and women.  Female riders will find they will need a wider saddle, up to 160mm widths are available!

HOW TO FIT CORRECTLY

Proper sizing for your style of riding and body shape will make riding more comfortable and help activate the correct muscles reducing the chance of overuse injuries.

Fit Kit

Get hold of a fit board (from us) or if you have some corrugated cardboard. Sit down with a neutral spine and get the indentation of your sit-bones

Match  your riding style

Cross reference to the sizing chart. Generally aggressive positions will require the same width as your measurements, more upright you'll need to add some width.

Rail Type

Decide whether you need the Active or Standard rail version. The Active offers more comfort and correct pelvis alignment and may even offer benefits to those with leg length discrepencies.

GET FITTED

IF your looking at getting on a SQlab saddle, it's important to get fitted correctly. This is easily done with the Fit Kit (you get can get them here) or using some corrugated cardboard to accurately measure your sit bones.

CHECK THE SIZE

Once you have the size, then you'll need to cross-reference the width to the official SQlab measurement chart. Generally you'll be going up a centimeter or two, only those who have an aggressive road or time trial position will size the same to their saddle.

ACTIVE OR STANDARD

Now you'll need to decide if you need the Active rail system or standard. Active has a lot of benefits and really helps with comfort and even taking out road/trail buzz. It may also help if you have leg length difference or skeletal alignment issues.
